Muskoka... blessed by nature!

The District of Muskoka includes the treasured towns and communities of Huntsville, Gravenhurst, Bracebridge plus the Townships of Lake of Bays, Muskoka Lakes, and Georgian Bay.

Each offers a unique experience through an abundance of lifestyle activities. The population of Muskoka is approximately 60,000 year round and about 150,000 during the summer months.

“Cottage country“ is, Ontario`s favourite year-round vacation destination and only a short two hours drive north from Toronto, but yet so removed.

2500 square miles of towering pines, thousands of sparking rivers and lakes, pink granite of the northern shield, a diversified wild life and endless recreational activities, lures folks who come… and then want to stay!

Muskoka truly offers a healthy way of living. Nature abounds. Endless deep rich forests, filled with wild flowers, ferns, moss, with birds and wild animals such as moose, red fox, bears, pilated woodpeckers and deer. Wonderful out croppings of granite line the roads and waterways. Thousands of various sized rivers and lakes, creeks, bogs full of aquatic life such as specked trout, beaver, loons, and painted turtles give a sense of transporation to a serene environmental landscape.

Crisp clean air makes for the vitality of our neighbourhoods and stimulates a creative community of artists and then intriguing people who want to share a piece of it.
